Karen Moxon, PhD

Karen Moxon, PhD

Dr. Karen Moxon is Professor in the Biomedical and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Departments at UC Davis, conducting research in neuroengineering. She received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado. Her research examines how neuronal circuits encode information and the impact of injury and disease on neural encoding. She has developed new technologies to further this area of research, obtaining four patents with one pending. She is an elected fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineers and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
