Workshop Submission

Venue: Propose a workshop at NYC Neuromodulation held in New York City, that will be available for free to hundreds of NYC Neuromodulation conference attendees. Workshops attendance requires registration to the NYC Neuromodulation Conference.

Dates: Workshops will be run either on the pre-conference workshop say (July 30) or concurrent to conference main sessions (July 31-August 2).

Scope and Timing: While each NYC Neuromodulation conference session is designed to engage a broad audience in a compact format (~1.5 hours), workshop allow for a specialized and extensive analyses of a specialized topic / audience (e.g. just modelers, just clinicians.). Workshops are either full day (~8 hours with a lunch break) or half-day (3-4 hours). The workshop scope must broadly follow within that of the NYC Neuromodulation Conference including all forms of nervous system imaging and modulation (see conference website).

Format: To allow maximum flexibility there are no predetermined format guidelines. Workshop may be entirely lecture or include a hand-in component. Talks may be all the same length or speaker specific. The selection of workshop faculty, timing, lecture vs panel style, and all other programming decisions are left open. Once a workshop timing is set, it must be programmed such that timing overrun does not occur– so it is critical proposers are realistic on timing including as needed for transition between speakers, Q&A, etc… and we suggest including some time buffers.

Space and Support: The NYC Neuromodulation Conference will provide appropriate space and A/V for each workshop, and on-site logistical support. Any specialized equipment (such as EEG or TMS) needed for a workshop is entirely the responsibility of the workshop organizers to arrange; the conference will provide some support for delivery, load in/out but cannot provide financial support for equipment loan or transportation. All conference faculty are provided as 50% discount on registration and additional conference faculty benefits (speaker dinner) ;in addition, each workshop faculty is provided one 50% discount for student registration provided the student plays any role in supporting workshop logistics. Workshop faculty may also serve as invited main session faculty, in which case they get benefits of both.

Administration and Selection: Workshop selection and timing will be determined by the NYC Neuromodulation Conference scientific program committee - on a rolling base. Therefore, you can submit you workshop any time for immediate consideration. And once all workshop slots are filled, new workshop submission will be closed without notice. Workshops that are designed to promote a single company product or indicate commercial bias will not be selected (in such cases companies can consider a sponsored morning workshop). Workshop decisions are final and rationale / critique will not be provided.

Submission: We want workshop submission as simple as possible:

  1. Name of workshop and single primary contact.
  2. Workshop description as intended for promotion. As short as one paragraph or longer.
  3. Workshop program, either half day or full day. This should include the names of all faculty. Please be specific on the timing of each component. We suggest reasonable breaks during the program. For full day programs, allow one hour for lunch.
  4. While some elements may be left as TBD, the most compelling workshops will be detailed.
  5. Do not propose a specific date for your workshop. The timing will be decided by the program committee.

Deadline for Workshop submission is October 27, 2025
